Moderately sweet and nutty flavoured, Laila split pigeon peas give a soft texture to various curries, stews and soups. Renowned as Toor Dal, it is the perfect accompaniment with rice as a Dal or Sambar. A staple of many classic South Asian, East African and Caribbean dishes.
Ingredients:
Split Pigeon peas. May contain cereals containing gluten.
Cooking Instructions:
Soak and rinse in cold water and then bring to the boil. Simmer until tender. Do not eat raw.
